Helping Hand

Just Herbert and SoapyLoopy trailing the wastelands.

As Herbert is my Dad's Fallout 3/NV character whose lvl 50, (have the same appearance) and SoapyLoopy is my Fallout 3/NV character whose lvl 26, (again, same appearance) I thought drawing them together would amuse me whilst I'm all ill and sicky. Which it did! lol

My dad and I both tend to play the same games and when it comes to games like Fallout, Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls, I always see me and my dad working together, like my dad would be there teaching me the ropes sort of thing.

So yeah, as we're replaying our old game in New Vegas again (separate games), I thought that since my dad has pretty much completed everything, and I got tons of stuff I need to do, heck, I've only just started the DLC, Dead Money, and it's the first DLC I've gone to do so far :') I kinda went off subject lol What I was going to say before going off on a tangent was as we're replaying F:NV, I wanted to draw our characters as if they could meet and travel together.

I sort of imagined this happening:

SoapyLoopy was having trouble with a group of Legionnaire Assassins surrounding around her, threatening her and giving her no space to escape. She was outgunned and outmatched. Out of nowhere, one by one, their heads exploded, leaving blood splatters all over her and her vault suit. Confused and slightly scared, the girl runs to cover, unsure where the culprit to the corpses demise is.

After a few minutes, an elder man stands before her, looking down at her. Realising she wasn't being shot in the head, her cowering stops and she looks up at her saviour. He slightly smiles down and holding his hand out. She accepts the hand in her face, pulling her weight up, which wasn't much.

"Thank you! I- thank you Mister." He nods his head in recognition before turning around, ready to head off. "Hey mister, sorry to bother you, but-" He turns back around, looking straight at her with tired yet kind eyes. "W-would it be okay if I tagged along with you? At least until I can find someone to teach me how to survive the wasteland."

"Sure you can, kid. I can teach you if you want, just don't get in my visor shot." He tapped his sniper rifle before returning it to his shoulder to rest on. The girls eyes sparkled in glee, she grabbed her bag which had been tossed to the side during the previous encounter and followed the elder man.

"Thank you, Mister!"

"It's Herbert, not mister, kid."

"Okay Herbert, and it's Soapy, SoapyLoopy. Uhh- it's a silly nickname I got given, sorta stuck." Herbert smiled before turning around and began walking to his next destination, with Soapy following behind.

I jokingly said to my dad that I could see my character carrying stuff for his and being his medic, but now that I think of it, she probably would. Maybe it's also cause when I watch him play, I tell him where enemies are and when his HP is low when he's focusing on killing stuff  since he got all the awesome stuff, I barely have to meantion about his health :')

Just to get things clear, my character isn't wearing a vault suit, but seeing as I wanted to portray the two as teacher and student, I thought putting her in a basic Vault 21 jumpsuit would do, seeing as my dad's character is wearing the Stealth Suit Mk II the majority of the time. He also favours the sniper rifle even though he has lots of epic weapons on him too.

SoapyLoopy has a regular .357 Magnum Revolver in this pic, but that because my old game went a lil dodge so I started again and that was one of the first few weapons I picked up. I can't remember what she actually has in my lvl26/7 game I can't check yet either due to Dead Money taking everything I had and shoving it somewhere lol.

I could go on for ages talking about my dad's and my own Courier and Lone Wanderers but I doubt people will wanna read so meh!
